There are three main pillars of support I offer. Birth support, lactation support and community events.
After playing around with different support packages and constructs for doula support, I have come to find that most people choose the same package over and over. To simplify things (for my own sanity), I have narrowed my support down to one standard package with the option to add on additional support sessions as needed, as well as one standard package for those planning a c-section.
Depending on the number of prenatal sessions in your package, we will discuss anything you want:
wishes you have for your birth experience; any fears you may have; your feelings and wishes around possible interventions and pain management; what to expect from your care team and chosen place of birth; comfort measures; breathing techniques; contingency plans for when birth looks different than you had planned or hoped; your wishes for the placenta; basic postpartum planning; processing previous birth experiences and more.
Nothing is off limits and there is no such thing as TMI. It is my goal to ensure you go into your birth, as well prepared as you can be. You will have my unwavering support, no matter what your wishes are or how they may change. Contact me here to schedule your free birth support consultation.
“Scheduled c-section (no labor)” means you have no intention to labor and do not desire a vaginal birth: you want a cesarean regardless. Even if labor were to start before your scheduled c-section date you are planning on going in for your cesarean right away. Families who want the possibility of laboring, such as with a desired VBAC, and are not on OHP fall under the ‘private pay’ option.
BIRTH SUPPORT: Starting July 2023 I am able to bill AllCare CCO, in additional to Jackson Care Connect and ‘open card’ for your birth doula care.
*These services also covered by OHP.
If you are planning a scheduled c-section, whether it is elective or medically indicated, I will happily support your birth as well. Folks who are covered by OHP and are planning a c-section will not have to pay out of pocket for my support: doula support for c-sections is also a covered benefit. You may choose to have one or two prenatal meetings and one or two postpartum visits; I will bill your insurance accordingly.
Private pay packages will be billed in three installments. The first installment is due upon signing with me as your doula, the second installment is due at 37 weeks of pregnancy and the final installment is due 2 weeks postpartum.
