Classes
When you’re getting ready to welcome a baby into your family, there is a lot of information floating around. Especially with social media in the mix, it’s hard to know what’s accurate and reliable. Taking an in-person class can be a great way to gather information, learn more about your body’s ability and combat some of the doubt or fears we may have about birth and breastfeeding.
birth classes
Bringing new life into the world is arguably one of the greatest tasks you will ever take on as a parent. Though uncountable women have gone through this rite of passage before us, it is still important to prepare ourselves for the journey ahead.
With an emphasis on holistic well-being, bodily autonomy and informed consent, these classes will help prepare you for birth in any setting. Whether you choose a home birth or a hospital birth; a natural labor or a medicated one… these classes will provide you with the tools you need to own your birth.
“What a joy it was to take Justine’s birthing class! My partner and I found it to be extremely informative as we prepare to be first-time parents. Each week lead us down a new path of knowledge that was easy to understand and digest. I now feel an added layer of confidence within myself!
I thoroughly enjoyed Justine’s energy ~ you can sense the genuine care and passion she has towards her work and what she teaches. I would highly recommend her class to anyone! If you’ve been looking, look no further!!”

prenatal lactation class
A prenatal lactation class is a single, one-on-one (or two-on-one), 1.5 hour class that prepares you for breastfeeding. If you are partnered, you are encouraged to bring them along. Any important factors in your personal circumstances, history and/or wishes for your feeding journey can be communicated beforehand, and will be incorporated into your personalized class (some restrictions may apply).
what we’ll cover
These one time sessions are meant to give you a frame of reference on what to expect, what normal looks like and how to tell if your baby is ‘getting enough’. We will talk about skills such as latching baby, unlatching baby and hand expression. You will learn how to deal with clogged ducts, engorgement and how to recognize common symptoms of mastitis. You will leave with a one-page cheat sheet to the first week of breastfeeding, as well as my pdf guide to the basics breastfeeding, complete with color photos.
